Below is a simple overview of our school uniform so you know exactly what to expect when you join us.
We promote an ‘always active’ uniform approach. This means that all students are expected to wear PE kits on PE days. On non-PE days. students are allowed to choose to wear full school uniform or PE kit to school. The purpose of this is to allow students to feel able to play at breaks and lunches whilst still looking smart in lessons and on corridors and feeling part of a unified community.

The Meols Cop School tie will be gifted to your child when they attend the transition day in June.
Our uniform helps:
- Make sure everyone feels included
- Keep students safe and easily identifiable on site
- Maintain high standards
- Reduce pressure to wear fashionable or expensive clothing
Branded uniform items
From the consultation, there was clear agreement that a small number of key branded items helps maintain school identity without adding unnecessary cost.
We have therefore agreed that the core branded items will be:
1. School PE T-shirt
2. School PE or fleece quarter-zip
3. School blazer. This is to be worn as an essential item of the full school uniforms and as an optional additional layer with the PE kits
By limiting the number of compulsory branded items, we aim to strike a balance between a smart, recognisable uniform and affordability for families.
Plain and flexible items
Where possible, flexibility has been built into the uniform to reduce cost and stress for families. PE bottoms (such as leggings, joggers or shorts) and socks may be plain black and do not need to be school branded. This allows parents and carers to purchase suitable items from a range of retailers while maintaining a consistent appearance. This decision reflects frequent feedback about cost, fit and comfort, particularly for growing children.
Support With Uniform
We understand that uniform can be a cost for families. We work with local uniform support hubs and offer pre-loved items, alongside financial support where needed.
If you have any questions or need help with uniform before September, please contact us—our team is always happy to help.
